How do I upload a DPA?

The DPA (Data Processing Agreement) is required when personal data is processed and a service provider (data processor) is commissioned to process this data on behalf of the website operator. This contract regulates the legal obligations and responsibilities between the website operator (controller) and the service provider (processor) according to the requirements of data protection laws.

In this article, we will explain how you can request and upload your DPA.

1. I use Cloudpit

If you use Cloudpit, you can view and create your DPA directly in your management portal.

To do this, first log in to your Cloudpit.

1.1 How do I request my DPA?

You can view and create your DPA in Cloudpit at the top right under My Cloudpit and then on the left tab under GDPR.

You will receive an automatic email with your DPA shortly. Please fill this out in accordance with the law.

1.2 How do I upload my DPA?

Please send the completed contract to us by email or by post. Please note that the contract becomes invalid after 14 days. If the submission takes longer, the contract must be initiated again in the panel.

2. I use the Control Panel

If you use the Control Panel, you can view and create your DPA directly in your management portal.

To do this, first log in to your Control Panel.

2.1 How do I request my DPA?

You can create your DPA in the Control Panel on the left tab under Account and then in the sub-tab Data Protection under + New DPA.

While creating your DPA, you will be asked about the data subjects as well as the type of data. Please fill these out in accordance with the law.

Once all fields are completed, you can agree to and finalize the contract in the field at the bottom.

2.2 How do I upload my DPA?

The created DPA is automatically saved. A signature is not necessary here. You can find your stored DPA in the Control Panel on the right under the tab Account and in the sub-tab Data Protection. Here you can also download your contract as a PDF at any time.
