If your website still needs an older version, you can add PHP Extended Support: that lets you keep using versions 5.2 to 8.1, even after official support has ended. Your web hosting runs in our data centre in Vienna – redundantly connected and monitored around the clock. We also operate sites in Frankfurt and Zurich, and we use HP Proliant high-end servers throughout.
To put a website online you need two things. The domain is your address on the web – what visitors type into their browser. The web space is where your files live. Web hosting is the package that provides that space and keeps your website reachable. This is also the difference between a domain and hosting: one is the address, the other is the space behind it.

PHP 5.2, PHP 5.3, PHP 5.6, PHP 7.1, PHP 7.2, PHP 7.3, PHP 7.4, PHP 8.0, PHP 8.1, PHP 8.2, PHP 8.3 and PHP 8.4.
Important note: To use PHP 5.2 up to and including PHP 8.1, you will need the appropriate, optional PHP Extended Support Add-on. Further information can be found here.
If any of the PHP versions listed are marked as obsolete in your control panel, we recommend that you stop using them.
Obsolete versions are no longer being developed. In such cases, we provide security updates as part of PHP Extended Support.
Furthermore, PHP versions that have reached their “End of Life” (EOL) will gradually be transferred to PHP Extended Support. We will inform you in good time as soon as a version you are using is affected.
You can set the PHP version in your Control Panel either globally, so that it applies to all domains/subdomains, or on an individual basis.
To set the PHP version globally, please click on [Web Hosting] and select the [PHP Settings] option. You can now click on the ‘SET AS DEFAULT PHP VERSION’ button to the right of the PHP version you wish to use.
Please note that this is only possible for new PHP versions.
To set a PHP version separately for individual subdomains, please click on [Domains] and select “Subdomains” to the right of your domain. You can now click on the “Edit icon” to the right of the subdomain that points to the webspace content. In the next window, you can set the desired PHP version under “PHP Version*”.
