The auth code (also known as the AuthInfo code) is a security key required for every domain transfer. You can obtain it from your current provider – either via the customer portal or by submitting a support request. With some providers, you’ll find it directly in the domain settings.

This depends on the domain extension and your previous provider. For most extensions, a transfer takes between a few hours and up to seven working days. To ensure your website remains accessible during this time, we recommend setting it up on easyname in advance and only then starting the transfer.
Yes – your email address remains unchanged as long as you bring your domain with you. You simply set up the same address as a new mailbox with easyname. Changing providers does not alter the address itself.
We recommend switching first and only then cancelling your contract with your old provider. This ensures that your domain, website and emails are fully set up and accessible at easyname before you terminate your old contract.
