How can I upload files to my webspace?

You can upload files to your webspace via FTP. For this, you need an FTP client like FileZilla and the FTP access data of your web hosting package.

Note: This article differs depending on the system (CloudPit or Controlpanel). Please use the appropriate section.

Upload files via FTP in CloudPit

Log in to CloudPit and open the desired web hosting package.

Navigate to FTPFTP ACCESS.

Click on Actions next to the desired FTP user.

Via Show connection data you can see the hostname and username.

If you do not know the password, click on Change access and set a new password.

Enter hostname, username, and password into your FTP client and connect to the server.

Upload your website files to the designated web directory.

Note: In CloudPit, you can alternatively upload files without an external FTP program via FTPWeb-FTP.

Upload files via FTP in Controlpanel

Log in to the Controlpanel and open WebhostingFTP Accounts.

Click the pencil icon to the right of the desired FTP user to edit the FTP access.

Check the access data and set a password if none has been set yet.

Enter hostname, username, and password into your FTP client and connect to the server.

Upload your website files to the desired directory. For publicly accessible websites, the directory /html is usually used.

Note: In Controlpanel, you can alternatively upload files without an external FTP program via WebhostingWeb-FTPUpload.
