When you register a domain with us, we automatically create a domain contact in the background, where your name, email address, phone number, postal code, and other information you have provided to us are stored.
Each domain contact is unique and contains personal information associated with your domain.
A domain contact usually consists of letters and numbers and looks like this, for example: NG8867695-NICAT
At easyname, you can use the same domain contact for multiple domains or assign a separate one to each domain. This is useful, for example, if domains in your account belong to different people.
You can also edit your contacts and update your information at any time.
This is possible in your control panel under the menu item [Domains] by clicking on [Default Contacts] there. Each contact has a name (alias) with us, such as "Default Contact," so you can quickly find and assign it.
If you perform an owner change , your current domain contact will be replaced with another one containing the new information.
Please note that domain contacts can only be removed by the support team.
Deletion is only possible if the respective contact is not currently in use, meaning it is no longer assigned to any domain.
