What is a VPS?

A virtual server, also known as a VPS, represents a digital container in which a complete server environment can be operated. This allows us to provide you with full root access and a dedicated IP address. VPS can also be offered at a significantly lower cost than dedicated servers, as several customers share the hardware resources. However, we do not engage in overselling and provide guaranteed hardware performance. This means that you always have the full assured performance at your disposal.

Each server operates independently and isolated from the other containers on a server system – your own environment cannot be affected by other users and vice versa.

We offer both cost-effective Linux systems as well as systems with a Windows server license. Depending on your use case, you can order the appropriate VPS from us. How can I order a VPS?

What can I use a VPS for?

A VPS opens up a wide range of possible uses – for example, as a more powerful web host for a large webshop, or as your own mail or database server for larger projects. However, please note that there are also some restrictions with our VPS, which you can read about here:  Which software can I install on my Linux VPS?
