Does Spam Control support TLS encryption?

Spam Control supports TLS encryption for email connections. This allows emails to be transmitted encrypted if the sending or receiving mail server supports TLS.

What is TLS?

TLS stands for Transport Layer Security. TLS encrypts the connection between mail servers during the transmission of an email.

This prevents the transmitted data from being easily read or altered during transport.

When is TLS used by Spam Control?

Spam Control uses TLS for incoming and outgoing connections, provided the involved mail servers support TLS.

Note: TLS can only be used if the other mail server also supports TLS. If a destination mail server does not support TLS encryption, the connection cannot be fully secured with TLS.

Why is TLS important?

TLS protects the email transmission between mail servers. This increases the security of email communication and reduces the risk that content is read or manipulated during transmission.
