If your web hosting or domains are managed in the Control Panel, you can also purchase a so-called Business SSL Certificate for your domains.
There are two basic types: the RapidSSL certificate for a single domain and the RapidSSL Wildcard certificate.
Please note that all Business SSL Certificates are personalized products and therefore non-refundable. Make sure that all information provided during the ordering process is correct – once the certificate has been validated, this information cannot be changed.
With the former, one (sub-)domain can be secured, while the Wildcard certificate can secure all subdomains of the selected domain.
With the standard RapidSSL certificate, the subdomain www. is always additionally secured for the selected subdomain – accordingly, for www.YourDomain.tld, you must specify the domain YourDomain.tld.
If you enter the domain www.YourDomain.tld during the ordering process, the certificate would actually be ordered for the subdomain www.www.YourDomain.tld.
To order a new Business SSL Certificate, either log in to your Control Panel in advance or add the desired certificate directly to your cart. After completing the payment process, the certificate can be assigned to a domain in the Control Panel.
After assigning the certificate to a domain, domain ownership must usually be confirmed by email validation.
This email is always sent to the following addresses:
If these addresses are not available to you and cannot be created at short notice, other validation methods are also available – in such cases, please contact us directly at support@easyname.com or via the chat available in the Control Panel to discuss the next steps.
Please always provide us with the support PIN as well, so we can proceed immediately.
The Business SSL Certificate can now be assigned to one or more subdomains via the subdomain menu, just like our Let's Encrypt certificates.
To do this, click on the grayed-out [HTTP] button and select the Business SSL Certificate.
Don't forget to also activate the redirect from HTTP to HTTPS to avoid possible error messages about an unsecured connection.
