Why can’t every domain be registered?

There can be various reasons for this. We would like to briefly explain them below.

The domain name is already taken

In this case, the domain has already been registered by someone else. A domain can only be assigned once. Therefore, it is unfortunately not possible to register the same domain name again.

Special requirements apply to domains of the desired TLD

For some top-level domains, the responsible registry requires, for example, that you have a residence in a certain country in order to register a domain with this TLD. In such a situation, we may be able to offer you a trustee service so that you can still register the desired domain. Information on whether such a trustee service is available for your desired TLD can be found on the detail page of the respective TLD. You can access this page via the overview of all available top-level domains .

The domain is a premium domain

Some registries have defined so-called premium domains for their TLDs, for which they want to charge more money than for other domains. Unfortunately, these domains cannot currently be registered through us.

The TLD of the desired domain is not in our portfolio

Our portfolio includes a wide variety of top-level domains. Nevertheless, it may happen that we do not currently support a certain TLD. In this case, we recommend that you contact us so that we can check whether we can add the TLD you want to our portfolio.
