Why can't I send emails?

If you are unable to send emails, there can be various causes. First, check if there is a general outage and if sending works in Webmail. Then you can review the settings of your email program and other possible causes.

Table of Contents

1. Check the Status of easyname Services

First, check if there is currently a general outage of the easyname services. You can find the current status on our status page.

2. Test Sending in Webmail

Try sending an email directly through Webmail. This will help determine if the problem only occurs in your email program.

Note: The Webmail access differs depending on the system (CloudPit or Control Panel). Please use the appropriate access.

CloudPit

If you are using CloudPit, log in at webmail.wh20.easyname.systems with your email address and email password.

Control Panel

If you are using the Control Panel, log in at webmail.easyname.com with your email address and email password.

If sending works in Webmail, the cause is likely in the settings of your email program. In this case, check the outgoing mail server settings.

If you cannot log in to Webmail, check your email password. If you no longer remember the password, reset it.

3. Check Email Program Settings

If sending only does not work in your email program, especially check the settings for the outgoing mail server (SMTP).

Make sure that the server address, port, encryption, username, and password are entered correctly.

You can find the current server settings in the article What are the email server settings at easyname? .

4. Check Email Sending Limit

easyname enforces sending limits for emails. If you send a large number of emails in a short time, the sending limit may be reached.

More information can be found in the article How many emails can/may I send (Email Limit)?.

5. Check Public IP Address on Blacklists

In certain cases, the public IP address of your internet connection may be listed on a public blacklist. If there are multiple simultaneous blacklist entries, the easyname mail server may block sending emails for security reasons.

You can check your public IP address, for example, with the Blacklist Check by MXToolbox.

If you cannot determine the cause with these steps, please contact easyname Support.
