When configuring our VPS products, you choose your RAM, CPU and SSD storage space. And the best part: daily automated backups and snapshots are already included – there's nothing extra to add.
In this article, we'll show you how these built-in features keep your data safe and how to use them. You'll see how easy it is to back up and restore your data, and what few steps are involved (don't worry, there really aren't many)

Backups and snapshots included with every VPS
The basic rule applies to everyone: always have a backup of your data. Whether you're a developer, run several websites, manage a small business with its own shop, or just want your projects protected – your data matters. Because once something is online, there's always a risk of data loss. That's why a reliable backup and a recovery plan are essential.
Brief information for everyone who has not done backup yet: Ta backup stores copies of your important data in separate storage. If you ever need them, a few simple steps are enough to restore everything. And the good news: with your easyname VPS, you don't have to set any of this up manually. 🙂
VPS: How automated backups work on your VPS
With your easyname VPS, backups of your data are created daily – automatically. You have access to the last 7 days, so you can always go back to a recent version of your data. To view your backups, log in to the easyname Control Panel, open your server, and go to CloudPit. There you'll see your automatically created backups, ready to be restored whenever you need them.
Snapshots – the way to secure and recover your data
A snapshot is a manual save point of your entire system. It's especially handy before bigger changes: take a snapshot first, and if anything goes wrong, you can restore the previous state with a single click. You can create snapshots directly in CloudPit and restore them through the panel.
How to restore your data
In CloudPit you'll find all your backups and snapshots, including the date and time each was created. To restore, simply choose the backup or snapshot you need and confirm – no command line, no complicated steps.
