How do I cancel my domain in Cloudpit?

If you wish to cancel or delete your domain, you can do so online via your customer area.

If you no longer have access to your login credentials, you can have an email sent to you via the following link, where you will find your login name and can set a new password yourself: Request new password | easyname

Cancellation via the "Webhosting and Domain" overview

After logging in via our website easyname.at at Login | easyname, the "Webhosting and Domain" overview is the first page displayed to you. Here you will find an overview of all web hosting packages and domains associated with your account. You can cancel a domain by clicking on "More" (1) in the row of a domain and then on "Cancel contract" (2):

In the next menu, you will again find all relevant term data for the domain, such as contract start, contract duration, and the cancellation period. Under "Cancellation is effective on" (1), you must select the desired cancellation date from the dropdown list. The dates provided always refer to the cancellation period. Next, you must select a reason for cancellation (2) and can also give feedback under "How can we improve our products". This point is optional. Now you can finalize the cancellation by clicking the "Submit cancellation" (1) button.

After you have submitted the cancellation, you will receive a cancellation confirmation at the email address stored in your customer account.

Cancellation via the contract overview

Alternatively, you can cancel one of your domains via the contract overview of your Cloudpit account. To do this, move your mouse over "My Cloudpit" (1) and click on "Contract overview" (2)

In the contract overview, click on "Actions" (1) for the domain you wish to cancel and then on "Cancel contract" (2)

The cancellation process then proceeds as described in the previous section "Cancellation via the Webhosting & Domain overview" earlier in this article.

How do I cancel my domain in the easyname Control Panel?

First, log in to your control panel via our website Login | easyname. After logging in, click on the "Domains" tab (1) on the left. When you have found the domain you wish to cancel on the right in the domain overview, click on "Manage" (2)

In the domain management section, under "Renewal" you will find all relevant data regarding the term of the domain, such as the contract start, until when the domain is paid, until when the domain can be renewed at the latest, whether the domain would be renewed automatically, and the cancellation period for the affected domain. Click the "Cancel domain at expiration" button to start the cancellation process for the domain. 

After clicking the button, you can specify a reason for cancellation and finally finalize the cancellation. After you have submitted the cancellation, you will receive a cancellation confirmation at the email address stored in your account.
