The com.gr domain is a subdomain of the Greek country code top-level domain and particularly well suited to commercial organizations headquartered in Greece. It is also a good choice for companies, which are economically connected to the State of Greece. Since the introduction of the Greek top-level domain .gr a research center named FORTH administrates all registered domains.

Registrations will be checked by the registry with five working days. In exceptional cases it could be that a registration is not approved. In this case the domain will be deleted. A refund of the costs is excluded.
It is possible for every webmaster and administrator to buy and register a personal web adress with the Greek subdomain. Within 3 hours after registration, the domain is activated - but until the final clearance by the Greek registry it can take up to five business days. The subdomain is suitable for companies located in Greece or otherwise corporations related to the Greek economy. The com.gr extension indicates clearly a commercial as well as a national orientation. Related domains are the Greek top-level-domain .gr and other country code top-level domain like the Belgian domain .be or also the Danish country code domain .dk.
