Linux system engineer (f / m / x)

As a Linux system engineer, you are responsible for the IT systems of our major customers and develop new technical products together with other teams.

Your Role

As a Linux system engineer in our Managed Cloud Solutions team, you have a varied workday and an exciting field of work. Together with your team, you are responsible for the IT systems of our major customers and develop new technical products together with other teams.

Your tasks include:

  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of complex IT systems, firewalls, storage and backup systems
  • Development of new technical products and solutions
  • Contact person for our support
  • Hardware and software operation through updates and backups
  • Error analysis and troubleshooting of systems in the event of a malfunction
  • Automation via Ansible, scripts and Rundeck

The ideal candidate:

  • a successfully completed computer science degree or completed training as an IT specialist for system integration
  • in-depth knowledge of Linux server operating systems
  • Experience with cluster systems, as well as scripting skills (Bash / Python)
  • a careful, structured way of working and a result-oriented work attitude
  • perfect knowledge of German (C2) and English (C1), both written and spoken
  • Willingness to work in shifts (Mon-Fri: 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. + alternating on-call duty, which is attractively remunerated)
  • Previous knowledge of eCommerce applications such as Shopware or Magento is an advantage

We offer an attractive fee between €3,600 und €4,300 (gross, per month) for this position. For legal reasons, we must point out that a collectively agreed minimum salary of €3,501 (gross, per month) applies. Overpayment depends on your qualifications and experience.

The advertised position is available both full-time and part-time.
